Jordan Giarratano

Sensei & 1st Degree Black Belt in tang soo do

Sensei Jordan Giarratano began studying the Korean martial art tang soo do at age 13 under Master Leonard Galli of the Fighting Chance Self Defense Association (Exeter, PA). Under the tutelage of Master Galli he was exposed to American kickboxing, Aikido, Sambo and law enforcement self-defense tactics; developing a well-rounded skill-set years before the mixed martial arts boom.

At age 16 Sensei Giarratano earned the rank of 1st degree black belt and began teaching at the Fighting Chance School of Self Defense. Using the teaching methods and philosophy of Master Galli, Sensei Giarratano helped his students to exceed their limitations and reach their ever-growing potential in the martial arts. Upon leaving Pennsylvania, Sensei Giarratano studied Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian jiujitsu, submission wrestling, Krav Maga and boxing with many different instructors. He maintains close ties with Master Galli, training with him at least once or twice per year.

By 2011, after 17 years of training, Sensei Giarratano felt he was ready to take on his own students. He’s organized a Fighting Chance Seattle school to teach Karate/Kickboxing Fusion classes within Outrageously Fit.

Testimonial for “Jordan Giarratano

  1. I am new at martial arts. I am trying to get in shape, and learn something new — this does both. Jordan is a great teacher, providing the right kind encouragement mixed with correction, guidance and positive reinforcement. After a lesson I am totally exhausted but can’t wait for the next one.
